11/20/13 news from American Land Title Association (ALTA): The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) today released its final rule to combine overlapping federal disclosure forms required by the Truth in Lending Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. A new Closing Disclosure will replace the HUD-1 and final TIL disclosure, while a Loan Estimate will replace the GFE and early TIL.
